What do the different Classpad statuses mean?

Knowing the Classpad statuses helps you quickly check the state of the devices, troubleshoot technical issues, and run uninterrupted lessons with Classwise.

No Classpad is assigned to this number or student. Pair a device or move a previously paired Classpad to the correct slot in the station.

The Classpad is connected to the Control hub and is in the docking station. The device is ready to use.

The Classpad has been removed from the docking station. The device is currently being used by a student.

Status shown when hovering over a specific Classpad. Clicking the bell icon will make the selected Classpad vibrate.
Clicking the three dots will reveal additional options:

  • Device information
  • Option to swap with another Classpad
  • Help
  • Option to disconnect from the Control hub

Status before an activity begins. Waiting for pupils to confirm they are ready.

The Classpad has been placed in a slot assigned to a different Classpad that is currently being used by a student.

The Classpad is in sleep mode after a prolonged period of inactivity.

To wake the device:

  • in the docking station – press the button at the base of the station,
  • outside the station – press any button on the Classpad.

If the device doesn’t respond, re-pairing may be required.

The Classpad has lost connection with the Control Hub.

The Classpad battery is running low. Connect the docking station to the power supply and charge the device.

A device update is available. Activities cannot be run until the Classpad has been updated.

The pupil has already answered in the quiz. This status appears if the quiz is interrupted for any reason.
