The difference between gamification mode (Default) and short test mode

In the Classwise app, you can run a quiz in different modes. The one you choose depends on whether your goal is to engage students more actively or to assess their knowledge more reliably.

Gamification Mode (Default)

Gamification mode is a dynamic quiz format that engages students through fun and competition.

During the quiz:

  • Students earn points for both accuracy and speed
  • After each question, they see the correct answer and the leaderboard
  • Students receive immediate feedback

This mode works well when you want to:

  • Increase engagement,
  • Introduce gamification to your classes
  • Encourage students to take an active part

Short Test Mode

Short test mode is a more formal quiz format, without gamification element.

During the quiz:

  • Only accuracy counts, with no extra points for speed
  • Students do not see the correct answers during the quiz
  • No leaderboard or question-by-question results appear
