How to create a quiz

A quiz lets you quickly test students' knowledge and get them engaged in the lesson. See how to create a classic quiz with one question and four answer options.

Step 1 – Choosing the quiz type

On the home page, click the Create a project button in the top right corner of the screen.
The Content creator window opens, where you can select the type of activity you want to create.

In the Select the type of content you want to use section, choose Classic question.

Step 2 – Adding questions

In the top box of the editor, type your question.
Below, add up to four possible answers.

Each answer has an assigned colour that matches the highlighting on the pupils’ Classpads. This allows pupils to easily select their answer on their device.
To mark the correct answer, click the white circle in the bottom left corner of the answer tile.
To add the next question, click the plus icon at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3 – Quiz settings and editing

On the left-hand side, you’ll find the quiz settings panel. Here you can:

  • Change the quiz category
  • Set a time limit for answers
  • Choose the scoring method
  • Enable bilingual mode

Also on the left-hand side, there is a small toolbar for editing individual questions. Here you can:

  • Clear a question
  • Duplicate a question
  • Delete a question
