Classpad has lost connection to the Control hub

When the Classpad is not detected by the Control hub, it has the status Connection lost.

connection lost

The most common causes are:

  • The Classpad has run out of charge. To resolve this issue, place the device in the docking station that is connected to the mains to charge. If you are in the middle of an activity, swap the discharged device for another one before placing it in the docking station.
  • The Classpad is out of range of the Control hub, for example, because it is outside the classroom. Move it closer to the Control hub. Also, make sure the antenna on the Control hub is not blocked by any obstacles that could interfere with the signal and data transfer between the Control hub and the Classpads.
  • The Classpad was accidentally paired with another Control hub by another teacher. In this case, try pairing it again with the correct Control hub.
  • The Classpad is damaged and is not responding at all. In this case, it will usually need servicing.

A Classpad that is trying to reconnect to the Control hub is marked with the status Reconnecting.
